Oh man now you guys are talking my language.
A little homemade BBQ sauce and some Mac n cheese . Lucas & James both are smoking experts and have both provided world class BBQ.
Anybody else good at smoking some brisket or, tri-tip or sausage etc?

Thank you Kyle, I am trying to get behind a 6100 truck for this event. I have done it with Jim Rikey and Louis in a TrophyLite witha 2.2L and we won against a few other TL , BAJA Lites and Mason trucks.
Thanks for the offer of your girls John but I am pretty sure Brenda wouldn't go for it and the only girl navigator I want is my daughter Ashley. She has become quit the navigator for me in BAJA.

Lucas can smoke with the best of them, maybe It's time for a little TL BBQ snoke off at V2R ??
Maybe Plaza can bring a Napa Porta Cool swamp cooler to blow that smoke throughout contingency and keep the TL tech area cool????

Good idea John, maybe give it a few weeks to see if anybody wants them and do a run of 10 or so?

Tech Talk / Oil Dipstick

I have machined an aluminum dipstick adapter that allows you to use one of the race style dipsticks with 1/4" NPT into the ecotec motor....

It has an O-Ring and slips in the dipstick hole and a retainer that holds it down.  Then you just screw in your stainless braided race-style dipstick.

I know russ had mentioned dipstick leaks, espically when the truck is rolled is a big issue.  This setup eliminates this 100%.

I dont have a CNC lathe,  just a manual one, and this was a one-off piece..... but if theres any interest in them I could have them manufactured.  Not sure if others have solved this issue yet.

Let me know if this is somthing needed, ill sell to TL guys for whatever it costs me.

I met Lucas by recieving some hlpe from him, but not of the medical type!  At parker we broke our left front hub off and we were stuck in the wort possible place.  Blocking the course sideways, just after a hard corner.

He showed up in a lifted truck and pulled us out, and gave us and my TL back to the pits.  Talked to him at Parumpt about his new truck.  Great guy.

Lucas: Make sure you stop by the Wild Power Sports tent at V2R contingency and grab some brisket, james will be smoking one all day.  And his brisket is on POINT!
