Ditto, Trophylite's strength is as a group.  Changing the truck isn't going to change anything other then divide people.  They are tricky to drive at times but when you get them set up to your driving style they are fast and fun little trucks.  I heard something about a "fire sale" I know for me I made the decision before the season started, I let Rick and those around me know so it would catch anyone off guard.  I know Jeff also planned on selling at the end of the season and George's truck was already for sale so "fire sale".  Thanks to the reputation and brand awareness of Trophylite our trucks all sold within a week of each other and for the price that we wanted.  If my truck didn't sell for what I wanted to sell it for I wasn't going to sell it, I would have gladly kept it and tried to come out to a race or two jus for fun.  Trophylite in my opinion is the best way to go race a competitive class where victory is decided by seconds and the racing doesn't end until you see the checkered flag.  I know Jason and the entire Cobb family has put a lot into TL to continue the heritage and make it the best they can.  There are a lot of unexpected changes this year from what I understand but change is good!  if nothing ever changed we would have a the class we have today.  If anyone ever has questions about TL and where it is going I would encourage you to call Jason and let him tell you what he is doing.  What other class of racers share parts, pits and have huge pot luck BBQ's?  I have made some great friends through TL and if anyone wants to talk shop about suspension etc. I am always available.

Silver State is coming!! who's going to win?  I have my $$ on Spitz

For me it was all right ;D  honestly it was a great day in the main pit seeing another side of the trophylite family!  TL pits where non stop!  great seeing most of the teams pitting in one of two pre determined trophylite pit spots. Great Job Jason and the TL crews for having that set up! lap three found me rooting for Team spits sorry but you just can not find a reason not to root them, the entire spits family work hard doing all their own prep and pit work.  Not to mention Craig is a great driver so when he left out for his third lap with what seemed like a 15 minute lead I was truly hoping he would pull it off but just after he left the pits he called in with a brake issue.  Then it was Winner, Brag or Winner running up front anyone one of them would defiantly earn the win.  i think the lead changed 4 or 5 times with Cobb, Winner, Spits going back and forth.  Great race down to the last couple miles as usual!  great job to all the guys that came out and put there best effort forward.  If Parker is an indication of how the rest of the season will go it will come down the last race for sure.

Congratulations to Ryan Winner on the win!  Team Bragg ended last year strong and looks like they will continue the momentum this year. New to TL Cory Winner taking up third is an impressive debut for sure!  Like I said its looking like a great season of racing!  Good luck to all the TL teams at the MINT400!!!

I met Chris Wardle in Baker yesterday to deliver the truck and parts to him.  Chris has been racing in the UTV class and is excited about racing in the TL class moving forward.  It was sad to see the flying pumpkin go but she is in a good home and will be coming out to Parker to race.  The way I see it there is one more good driver in the class and one less UTV on the course ;D  I wish you all luck in 2018 and will be following the antics from the sidelines.

Happy New Year!!!!

BITD runs the safest races and do a ton of work to protect our rights to the dessert.  I think TL doing some local races is a good fix for guys that donít want to race BITD.

I will not be racing next year but know my truck will be at Parker.  I am excited to see how everything shakes out and wish you all the best of luck.

Jason keep your eye on the vision!

sorry for the late post, Pahrump was a fun course for both the race truck and chase teams.  We started 2nd behind Winner who we knew would set a good pace and Mortis/Wacker right behind us wanting to apply pressure ASAP.  Our plan was to stay just out of Winner's dust and see what the race gods had in store for us, Mortis had a flat early which gave us some breathing room.  We then saw Winner off on the side of the course with a drive shaft issue giving us clean air.  We kept and eye on Bragg who is hungry for a win and has been running a solid pace since he got his motor issue figure out.  We tried to stay out of the dust of the slower UTV class but Bragg started his push and left us no choice put to pick up the pace.  Just before pit #5 we started getting a flat that Mortis's pit crew was nice enough to change for us.  In the process Bragg got by us and 1st on course and on time.  We stayed to the plan and heard Mortis had a second flat and possible drive shaft issues.  coming into pit 6 we had a front flat, since we had a scheduled gas stop we decided to drive it into the pits for our crew to change.  We regrouped and took off with Bragg 5 min ahead of us and Mortis/Wacker 15 min behind us.  Mike and I figured we had room for one flat on course and started to push a little harder to see if we could catch up to Brag who was checking out.  We caught him in the rock garden about 10 miles before pit 7.  We knew we had to get by him before #7 if we had any chance of putting a minute + on him to take first for the day.  We knocked on the door a couple times before we where able to squeak by with Householder in our review mirror.  Householder stayed back and let us race Bragg to the finish, he is a Class Act for sure.  We got a by a UTV and ran hard to try and put some time between us and Bragg.  We finished and waited for Bragg to finish I found out later he got a flat which gave us the win for the day.  Mike and I had a blast racing this season with the championship coming down to the final race of the season between us and our good friends at the challenge motorsports team.  We did the entire season with a skeleton crew Aaron and Tim being the corner stone of our chase team and making it to all the races, George, Bruce, Joe and Sergio and many others came out when they could.  We couldn't have done it with out them.  Thanks to all the assistance from Jeff, Chris, Brett, Troy and the entire Challenge motorsports team.  Having the championship come down to the last race makes so much fun, racing your friends who you share everything with makes its insane.  SOO much Fun!

Kind words Jason, I know would do the same for us and I do appreciate you leaving a brand new spare tire for us at pit 5.  We only had one more flat from pit 5 to the finish which was good thing since at UTV hit our truck when it was parked and ripped our jack off the Truck.

How to fix the the cpu issue? is never turn the battery off before the ignition.  We have a rule ok Mike has a rule that we never turn the battery off during tech.  We have a small team so itís easy to monitor.  It gets tougher when you have new guys or large teams.

Slater was able find a couple extra CPUís.  Rick I have one for you and will bring it to tonopah for you.

TL is a great group of racers, we donít get paid to race and have to figure a lot of our trucks issue by ourselves.  I love that so many share parts and knowledge with each Other.  People new to the class can quickly get up to speed and others who are have gremlins in the truck can quickly find others who may have had the issues and not waist too much time and money figuring it out.

Thank your Rick and the entire TL team for providing a solid platform for us to enjoy not just racing but the community of desert racing teams family and friends that makes it so much fun!

Congrats to Jeff, Chris, Brett, Jered and the entire Wacker team for pulling off a well earned victory at Vegas to Reno!!  I saw them through the pits as they clicked off mile after mile at least until pit 5 where I spent most of my day.  Looked liked a good battle all day with the top 5-6 cars.  Congrats to team Arciero and Cobb for staying in the hunt to the very end!!  I believe 7 out of 11 cars finished which is great result for such a tough race.  Some great trophy's from fab tech, cash and the motorized cooler from wild power sports!!  Bummed I leave with nothing  it made a lot of memories and had some laughs along the way.  Great to see some new guys out there too!  Live to here what your thoughts are these tough little trucks and your racing stories of the V2R!!
